Wednesday Health Spotlight with Dave Sandoval: Biohacking with Purium Part 1

Biohacking With Purium, Part 1: Supporting the Brain, Body, Performance, and Heart

In this week’s Zoom, Dave Sandoval opened with a reminder of Purium’s mission and the meaning behind the company’s name: pure and premium coming together. He framed the conversation around modern life and the many challenges people face today, including toxins in food, water, air, and the broader environment. From there, Dave introduced the idea of Purium’s Biohack Packs, targeted combinations of products designed to work together toward specific wellness goals.

Dave described biohacking as a broad approach to improving physical, mental, and emotional health through self-experimentation and intentional lifestyle changes. Rather than relying only on outside interventions, he encouraged people to take more responsibility for their health through nutrition, sleep, movement, and daily habits. The central idea was that small, consistent changes in how people eat, live, rest, and support their bodies can have a meaningful impact on vitality and quality of life.

Brain Boost Biohack Pack

The first featured pack was the Brain Boost Biohack Pack. Dave connected this pack to common modern challenges like brain fog, difficulty concentrating, poor memory recall, overstimulation, sleep disruption, screen exposure, stress, and environmental toxins. He emphasized the relationship between the gut and the brain, explaining that gut health, detoxification, and nutrient support can influence cognitive performance and overall mental clarity.

Key products discussed included Biome Medic, Revive It All, Pineal Clear, and sleep support. Dave highlighted Biom Medic as part of Purium’s approach to addressing glyphosate exposure and supporting the gut. He then explained that Revive It All was inspired by brain-health research and designed to support neuroreceptor function and gut-brain communication. Pineal Clear was presented as a product that supports the pineal gland and the body’s ability to process the mental stress accumulated during the day. He also emphasized the importance of deep, restorative sleep, noting that quality sleep supports repair, immune function, detoxification, and next-day mental performance.

The Brain Boost Pack was positioned for people who want better focus, sharper recall, clearer thinking, and a stronger foundation for mental vitality.

Collagen Plus Biohack Pack

Dave then moved into collagen and the Collagen Plus Biohack Pack. He explained that collagen naturally declines with age, especially after age 25, and can decline more rapidly after 40 and around menopause. He described collagen as a structural protein that supports skin, joints, hair, nails, organs, and the body’s internal framework.

A key point Dave made was that simply consuming collagen is not the same as helping the body build collagen. Instead, he emphasized giving the body the raw materials it needs to create collagen and elastin. Products in this pack included Renew Hair, Skin and Nails, Dark Berry Protein, sleep support, and Super Amino 23.

Renew Hair, Skin and Nails was discussed as a source of nutrients such as biotin, silica, and whole-food support for collagen and elastin production. Dark Berry Protein was presented as a plant-based protein product formulated with dark-pigmented fruits to support the body’s collagen-building process. Dave again emphasized deep sleep as a critical part of regeneration and repair, including collagen restructuring. He also highlighted Super Amino 23 for its role in lean muscle and skin elasticity support.

The Collagen Plus Pack was positioned as a more complete collagen-support strategy, focused on helping the body create and maintain collagen rather than relying only on collagen-based products.

Athlete’s Performance Biohack Pack

Next, Dave discussed the Athlete’s Performance Biohack Pack. He spoke to the challenges active people and athletes face, including plateaus, slower recovery, oxidative stress, inflammation, and the drawbacks of many conventional pre-workout and sports nutrition products. He criticized products that rely heavily on stimulants, synthetic ingredients, and poorly digested protein, saying that they can create additional metabolic burden rather than truly supporting performance.

The pack includes Super Xanthin, Super Amino 23, White American Ginseng, and Can’t Beet This. Super Xanthan, made with astaxanthin from red algae, was presented as a powerful antioxidant that supports the body against exercise-induced oxidative stress. Super Amino 23 was described as a highly efficient amino acid product that supports lean muscle with minimal liver and kidney burden. Dave tied lean muscle directly to longevity, emphasizing that muscle is not only about appearance but also long-term vitality.

White American Ginseng was discussed as an adaptogenic herb that supports endurance, vitality, healthy testosterone levels, sustained energy, and recovery without relying on stimulants. Can’t Beet This was positioned as a natural, nitrate-rich pre-workout drink that supports nitric oxide production, circulation, oxygen delivery, cardiovascular endurance, and workout energy.

The Athlete’s Performance Pack was presented as a whole-food, stimulant-free approach to better endurance, performance, recovery, circulation, and lean muscle support.

Healthy Heart Biohack Pack

The final major pack Dave discussed was the Healthy Heart Biohack Pack. He began by noting the importance of heart health and the prevalence of cardiovascular concerns, including high blood pressure, poor circulation, low energy, and nutritional deficiencies. He emphasized that many people do not have a clear nutritional strategy for supporting the heart, even when early warning signs are present.

The products discussed included Alpha Omega, mineral support with humic and fulvic acids, Biome Medic, and Can’t Beet This. Alpha Omega was described as an algae-sourced omega-3 product containing DHA and EPA, positioned as a clean alternative to fish-sourced omega products. Dave emphasized omega fatty acids for cardiovascular structure and inflammation support.

He then discussed the importance of minerals, especially magnesium and potassium, for heart function and parasympathetic muscle activity. He explained that humic and fulvic acids help transport minerals through tissues and support absorption. Biome Medic was included again because of its connection to inflammation support, particularly through discussion of C-reactive protein. Can’t Beet This was connected to nitric oxide, circulation, oxygen delivery, and blood flow.

Dave explained that the Healthy Heart Pack was designed to address heart health from multiple angles, including circulation, inflammation, minerals, fatty acids, nitric oxide, and the gut-heart connection.

Community Updates and Closing Message

Toward the end of the call, Dave answered a question about why HeartAid was discontinued. He explained that Purium chose to focus on a broader combination of products that could address heart health from multiple angles rather than relying on one product alone.

He also shared that more in-depth blog resources on the Biohack Packs are being developed so the community can dive deeper into each topic. Dave announced that the next Healthy Happy Hour at the corporate office will take place on June 6, where attendees will be able to sample products, connect with the community, ask questions, and meet in person.

Dave closed by sharing his own commitment to the Purium lifestyle, describing it as an investment in his body, future, and life. He encouraged everyone to keep caring, keep building community, and continue working together toward Purium’s mission of ending human suffering.
