Wednesday Health Spotlight with Dave Sandoval: Biohacking with Purium Part 2

In this week’s Purium Product Education Call, Dave Sandoval continued the Biohacking With Purium series with a deep dive into two powerful targeted product packs: the Bone Density Biohack Pack and the Women 40+ Biohack Pack. While these packs may seem specific to certain stages of life, Dave emphasized that the information is valuable for everyone. Bone health, muscle maintenance, hormone changes, nutrient deficiencies, inflammation, and lifestyle choices affect men and women as they age. Even for those who may not personally need these packs right now, the education can help support a mother, spouse, sister, daughter, customer, or friend.

Dave opened the call by grounding the conversation in Purium’s mission and philosophy. Purium, a combination of “pure” and “premium,” is built around the belief that the quality of the food we eat dramatically impacts the quality of the life we live. He connected this to Purium’s larger mission of helping end human suffering, explaining that many forms of suffering may be connected to nutritional gaps or deficiencies. For Dave, biohacking is not about chasing quick fixes. It is about taking personal responsibility, changing habits, improving lifestyle choices, and using targeted nutrition to help the body function at a higher level.

A major focus of the first half of the call was bone density. Dave explained that bone health is not only about calcium or vitamin D. It is connected to the broader lifestyle picture, including acidity, sugar intake, processed foods, mineral balance, inflammation, muscle mass, oxygenation, and protein quality. He described how the modern diet, especially one high in refined grains, sugar, alcohol, processed meats, and low-quality foods, can contribute to an overly acidic internal environment. According to Dave, the body may then pull minerals like calcium and magnesium to buffer acidity, which can become a concern for long-term bone strength.

Dave also emphasized the importance of muscle in maintaining bone strength. He explained that muscle and bone work together. When muscles contract, they pull on ligaments, which creates tension on the bones. That mechanical stress sends a signal to the body that the bones need to stay strong. This is why maintaining lean muscle is so important as we age. Dave connected sarcopenia, or age-related muscle loss, with osteopenia, or bone loss, saying the two often go hand in hand. In his view, supporting muscle through high-quality amino acids and lifestyle changes is one of the most important ways to support healthy aging.

The Bone Density Biohack Pack was presented as a targeted way to support this process. Dave highlighted ZinC-ADE as a plant-sourced zinc product that also includes beta-carotene, D3, and vitamin E, which he connected to collagen support and bone health. He then discussed Ionic Elements, a mineral-rich product containing magnesium, trace minerals, fulvic acid, and humic acid. Dave described these elements as important for mineral transport, alkalinity, and cellular support. He also highlighted Super Xanthin, noting its role in supporting the body’s inflammatory response. For Dave, inflammation is an often-overlooked factor when discussing bone health.

Another key product in the Bone Density Biohack Pack was Super Amino 23. Dave explained that many common protein sources, especially animal protein and processed proteins, can be acid-forming and can place a burden on the body. Super Amino 23, by contrast, was discussed as a highly efficient amino acid product designed to help build lean muscle without the same digestive and metabolic burden. Dave tied this back to the idea that lean muscle is one of the most important markers for longevity and healthy aging. The final product in the pack, Barley Green Juice, was described as a chlorophyll-rich, alkalizing, oxygenating food that also contains nutrients like vitamin K and phytoestrogenic compounds.

The second half of the call shifted to the Women 40+ Biohack Pack and the physical, emotional, and hormonal changes many women experience in their late 30s, 40s, and beyond. Dave asked listeners to consider whether they had experienced symptoms like feeling tired but unable to sleep, brain fog, changes in memory, lower energy, shifts in libido, mood swings, body composition changes, or feeling like something had changed but being unable to identify exactly what. He explained that these may be signs of perimenopause or menopause and that perimenopause can begin many years before menopause itself.

Dave emphasized that these changes are biological, not personal failures. He shared that many women are never told that nutrition can be a meaningful tool during this transition, or that starting in the late 30s or early 40s may be helpful. Rather than waiting until symptoms become overwhelming, he encouraged a proactive approach using targeted whole-food nutrition and botanicals.

The first product discussed in the Women 40+ Biohack Pack was Meno-Positive, a liquid botanical tincture created after Amy, Dave’s business partner, began experiencing perimenopausal symptoms. Dave explained that the product includes five botanicals: chaste tree berry, black cohosh, dong quai, red clover, and white American ginseng. He described these botanicals as historically respected from a naturopathic perspective for supporting women through hormone fluctuations, hot flashes, mood swings, irregular cycles, and other transitional symptoms.

Dave then highlighted Alpha Omega, Purium’s algae-sourced omega product. He explained that many people are deficient in essential fatty acids and may not have access to high-quality wild fish or may avoid fish for personal or dietary reasons. Alpha Omega was presented as a clean, vegan source of DHA and EPA without the heavy metals, aftertaste, or instability often associated with fish oils. Dave connected these healthy fats to brain health, longevity, and the benefits commonly associated with Mediterranean-style diets.

The next product discussed was Revive It All, which Dave described as a brain-support product designed to help with neuroreceptor function and oxidative stress. He connected brain health directly to hormone signaling, explaining that the brain plays a major role in regulating hormonal activity throughout the body. Supporting the brain, he said, can support memory, recall, focus, reaction time, and overall vitality.

Finally, Dave discussed White American Ginseng, describing it as a cooling adaptogen traditionally valued for its calming and supportive qualities. He explained that adaptogens can help the body respond to stress and support chemical reactions throughout the body, including in the brain and muscles. Together, Dave described MenoPositive, Alpha Omega, Revive It All, and White American Ginseng as a synergistic “Fab Four” of products designed to support women through the 40-plus transition.

The call ended with two important announcements. First, Dave shared that MVP Family Chocolate is back as a limited release. He noted that only a limited amount is available and encouraged people to act quickly, comparing it to the previous limited release of Vir-U-Sure, which sold out in just a few weeks. He also announced the upcoming June 6th event at the corporate offices, which will include an in-person gathering as well as a livestream option. Attendees will have the chance to meet Dave and Amy, connect with the Purium community, hear leader and customer stories, and continue building momentum together.

Overall, this call connected the larger idea of biohacking to practical, targeted nutrition. Dave’s message was clear: aging may be natural, but many of the struggles people associate with aging can be supported through better food, better habits, targeted whole-food supplementation, and a proactive commitment to the Purium lifestyle.
