Growing Your Purium Business with Debbie Darling: The Purium Way – A Leadership Journey

Whether you’re brand new or an experienced leader, understanding why our compensation plan works is just as important as knowing how it works. Join Debbie Darling for an engaging journey through the five stages of building a successful Purium business. Using one simple story, you’ll discover how Purium rewards inviting, serving, consistency, leadership, and long-term growth.

The Purium Way: Five Behaviors That Build a Lasting Business

Understanding a compensation plan can sometimes feel overwhelming. There are percentages, qualifications, volume terms, ranks, bonuses, and multiple ways to earn. In this Brand Partner training, Purium Business Unit Director Debbie Darling offered a different way to look at the plan.

Instead of asking Brand Partners to memorize every number, Debbie focused on the behaviors the plan is designed to reward.

Throughout the training, she followed the journey of a Brand Partner named Maria. Maria’s story illustrated how a Purium business can grow from one invitation into a customer community, a consistent team, a group of developing leaders, and eventually an organization that continues growing through leadership.

The training centered on five behaviors: invite, support, commit, empower, and multiply.

Start With the Foundations

Before exploring commissions and bonuses, Debbie reviewed six foundational terms used throughout the compensation plan:

BV, or Business Volume, is the point value assigned to a product.

CV, or Commissionable Volume, is the portion of the volume used to calculate commissions.

QV, or Qualifying Volume, is the portion used for rank advancement and certain bonuses.

PQV, or Personal Qualifying Volume, comes from a Brand Partner’s own qualifying orders.

GQV, or Group Qualifying Volume, is generated through the organization and is used for rank advancement.

GCV, or Group Commissionable Volume, is the commissionable volume produced through compressed levels of an organization and used to calculate team commissions.

Debbie also explained the two organizational structures within a Purium business. The enroller tree reflects the people a Brand Partner personally brings into the business and is used for enrollment and mentoring-related bonuses. The uni-level tree determines placement for ongoing team commissions and can pay through multiple compressed levels based on rank.

These foundations make the remaining parts of the plan easier to understand.

Behavior One: Invite

Every Purium business begins with an invitation.

Debbie emphasized that inviting is not about delivering a perfect pitch. It is about genuinely sharing something that made a difference in your own life and offering another person the opportunity to experience it.

When a personally enrolled individual joins as a Brand Partner and places a qualifying first order, an active Brand Partner may earn a Level 1 Brand Partner First Order Commission. Debbie used a ULT order as an example to demonstrate how this commission is calculated.

As a Brand Partner advances in paid-as rank, additional levels of first-order commissions may become available through the enroller tree. Personally enrolling qualified new Brand Partners may also create eligibility for shares in the monthly Enroller’s Pool.

Continued support matters after the first order. The Brand Partner K-Club Bonus rewards qualifying volume produced by active, personally enrolled first-level Brand Partners. This means one relationship may contribute to multiple separate earning opportunities when all qualifications are met.

The practical action from this stage was clear: invite one person. Share your experience and allow that person to decide whether Purium is right for them.

Behavior Two: Support

Customers are not a side activity. They are one of the strongest foundations of a sustainable Purium business.

A Brand Partner’s responsibility is not simply to help someone place an order. It is to help that customer understand the products, develop a routine, and receive continued support.

Personally enrolled first-level customer orders may generate an ongoing Customer Order Commission. Unlike a one-time Brand Partner first-order commission, this customer commission can repeat as the customer continues ordering qualifying products.

As a Brand Partner advances in rank, customer commissions may also be available on customers enrolled by Brand Partners within the organization.

Debbie also reviewed the Customer K-Club Bonus, a separate monthly bonus based on qualifying product subtotal from personally enrolled customers. This bonus is in addition to the commission earned on individual customer orders when the necessary threshold and qualifications are met.

Customers may also choose to become Brand Partners. Many leaders begin as customers who enjoy the products, build consistency, and later decide to share their experience with others.

The next step for this stage is to follow up with one customer. Help that person move from a single purchase to a supported, consistent product experience.

Behavior Three: Commit

Consistency is what turns isolated activity into a growing business.

Debbie explained that maintaining the required PQV keeps a Brand Partner eligible for commissions. A monthly subscription can be one of the simplest ways to avoid accidentally missing the necessary personal qualification.

She also clarified that the minimum amount required to remain commission eligible is not necessarily the same as a complete business-building strategy. Growth comes from consistently using the products, inviting new people, serving customers, supporting reorders, and helping Brand Partners grow.

The uni-level bonus is a central part of ongoing residual income. As paid-as rank increases, a Brand Partner may become eligible to earn on additional compressed levels of qualifying team volume.

Compression allows the plan to move past inactive positions when determining qualifying volume or commission payouts. This helps the order’s available commission move upward toward the next appropriately qualified Brand Partner.

Rank advancement can also generate one-time Rank Achievement Bonuses. Larger Fast Start bonuses may be available when ranks are achieved within the applicable Fast Start period. Qualified leaders may also earn matching bonuses when their personally enrolled Brand Partners achieve eligible Fast Start ranks.

Debbie distinguished between achieved rank and paid-as rank. Achieved rank is the highest lifetime title a Brand Partner has reached. Paid-as rank is determined again during each commission period based on current qualifications.

The action step was to set an appropriate subscription, choose one next rank, and commit to the consistent activity required to reach it.

Behavior Four: Empower

A leader is not simply someone who has followers. A leader develops more leaders.

Debbie introduced the Rank Maker Bonus as an example of how Purium rewards leadership development. The bonus can be earned when six personally enrolled Brand Partners achieve an eligible rank, including Consultant, Director, or Executive.

Those six Brand Partners do not need to reach the rank during the same month. Their achievements accumulate with no stated time limit under the plan described in the training. When the sixth person qualifies, the sponsoring Brand Partner must also hold the required paid-as rank or higher during that commission period.

The bonus renews, allowing leaders to earn it again as additional groups of six reach the applicable rank.

Once a Brand Partner reaches Diamond and meets the necessary qualifications, leadership development may also contribute to monthly generational matching bonuses based on qualifying commissions earned by developing leaders.

The action step was to identify one person to develop. Instead of simply managing that person, help them gain confidence, reach their next rank, and begin developing others.

Behavior Five: Multiply

The final stage is about creating an organization that no longer depends on one person being at the center of every activity.

As leaders develop additional leaders, generational matching can expand across more generations based on the sponsoring Brand Partner’s paid-as rank. Debbie explained that a generation is not necessarily the same as a single organizational level. It represents the next qualified leader within the enroller tree, with compression moving past inactive positions when applicable.

Qualified leaders may also become eligible for the monthly Lifestyle Leadership Bonus. The available amount grows with rank when all monthly qualification requirements are met.

At higher ranks, qualified Diamond and Crown leaders may participate in leadership pools funded by a percentage of Purium’s North American commissionable volume. These pools are separate from first-order commissions, uni-level earnings, generational matching, and other eligible bonuses.

These opportunities reflect the depth and health of an organization. They reward leaders who develop people capable of creating growth beyond their own personal efforts.

Know Your Next Step

The most important message from the training was not to leave trying to remember every percentage.

A new Brand Partner may need to focus on making one invitation. Another may need to follow up with customers. Someone else may need to restore consistency, reach a new paid-as rank, or help a developing leader advance.

The entire compensation plan does not need to be mastered before action begins. Brand Partners need to understand the portion that applies to their current stage and then help the next person do the same.

Invite one person. Serve one customer. Develop one leader. Then help that leader develop another.

That is the Purium Way.
