Weight Management, Longevity, and the Ultimate Lifestyle Transformation Immersion Schedule
On this week’s Zoom, Dave Sandoval brought the conversation around weight management back to Purium’s core philosophy: the quality of the food you put into your body directly impacts the quality of life you live. He reminded attendees that Purium is, above all else, a wellness company focused on helping people live longer and stronger. Weight management, in this context, is not about shame, quick fixes, or chasing an unrealistic body image. It is about supporting the body so people can look, feel, and perform better for years to come.
Dave opened by grounding the training in Purium’s name and purpose. Purium, short for “pure and premium,” reflects the company’s commitment to plant-based, earth-grown, chemical-free nutrition. He emphasized that Purium manufactures its own products and tests ingredients for purity and potency many times before they ever reach customers. This matters because, in Dave’s view, the foundation of wellness and longevity begins with what we consume every day.
From there, Dave connected weight management to overall health. Carrying excess weight can place additional strain on the heart, bones, lungs, and body systems. However, he made it clear that Purium’s message is not about calling people “fat” or making them feel bad. Instead, the goal is to serve people who are already saying they are ready for a change, want to release excess weight in a healthier way, and are open to a lifestyle transformation.
One of the major themes of the call was why traditional dieting often fails. Dave explained that many diets remove foods, which can be helpful when those foods are not serving the body, but they also often reduce nutrient intake. When a body that is already nutrient-depleted gets even fewer nutrients, cravings, fatigue, and rebound weight gain can follow. The Purium approach is designed differently. Rather than focusing only on restriction, it focuses on flooding the body with nutrient-dense superfoods and creating what Dave called “total cellular satisfaction.”
Dave then walked through the Ultimate Lifestyle Transformation, often referred to as the ULT. He described it as the gold standard of Purium’s product offerings for many people. The typical ULT replaces two meals a day with organic superfood shakes and supports lean muscle, gut health, sleep, and energy. The program includes green food nutrition, fruit-based superfood nutrition, Super Aminos, essential fatty acids, gut support, sleep support, and cleansing support. Together, these are meant to work as a system, not as a single product or short-term diet.
A key point from the training was the role of lean muscle. Dave explained that muscle weighs more than fat, which means the scale does not always tell the full story. Some people may improve body composition, increase lean muscle, and still not see the scale move in the way they expected. He emphasized that lean muscle is important because it uses fat as fuel and plays a key role in wellness, longevity, and metabolism.
Gut health was another central focus. Dave described the gut as the “second brain” and connected gut health to serotonin, neurotransmission, energy, and mental clarity. He explained that supporting the gut is critical because many people are dealing with the effects of poor food quality, toxins, and inflammation. In the Purium system, gut support is part of helping the body function better overall.
The call also introduced the Immersion Schedule as an alternative way to use the existing ULT. Dave clarified that this does not require a separate program or a special new box. It is simply a different way to schedule and consume the products already included in the ULT. The idea is to create a more concentrated lifestyle immersion that may help people experience results in a different rhythm, potentially over 20 days or even through a focused 10-day immersion.
Dave explained that one version of the schedule begins with a 10-day introduction phase, where someone starts easing into the lifestyle and introducing Purium superfoods once per day. Then the immersion phase begins, where the person uses the products more consistently, including three superfood shakes per day, Super Aminos three times per day, and increased use of other supportive products, while Sleepy Time remains once before bed. After the immersion phase, they transition back toward the more typical ULT schedule.
He also noted that some people choose to begin with the immersion phase on day one. Historically, this style of program was known as the 10-Day Celebrity Transformation. Dave shared that it was used by fighters, actors, and people preparing for events who wanted maximum results in a short window. Today, Purium is reintroducing that same concept as a way to help people who want a deeper reset, a focused transformation, or a healthy approach to weight management.
Flex Foods were also covered in detail. During the immersion, food intake is restricted but not eliminated. Flex Foods are used to help satisfy cravings while still supporting the cleanse and transformation process. Examples included avocado, apple, watermelon, celery, cucumbers, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, spinach, berries, sauerkraut, kimchi, summer squash, and carrots. Flex seasonings and beverages included coconut oil, fresh lemon, Himalayan sea salt, raw honey, herbs, non-dairy milks, kombucha, vegetable broth, decaffeinated herbal teas, and coconut water. The video also recommended avoiding meats, dairy, corn, potatoes, bananas, and starchy vegetables during this phase.
Dave added his own perspective on cravings, explaining that different textures and tastes can help people stay on track. Avocado can provide a satisfying mouthfeel, apples and cucumbers can offer crunch, and fruits like berries or watermelon can help satisfy the desire for something sweet and refreshing. This helps make the immersion feel more manageable and less like deprivation.
One of the most memorable parts of the call was Dave’s roller coaster analogy for the 10-day immersion. He explained that before starting, many people feel nervous, almost like climbing the first hill of a roller coaster. The first few days may feel uncomfortable as the body adjusts, but then many people begin to settle in, feel empowered, and realize they can do it. By the end, Dave said many people feel powerful, fulfilled, and liberated from cravings for sugar, coffee, energy drinks, desserts, and other habits that previously felt hard to break.
Dave also shared the story of Manny “Tiny” Yarbrough, the Guinness World Record holder known as one of the largest athletes in history and the only American sumo wrestler. When Dave met him, Manny was close to 900 pounds and facing serious health challenges. Dave brought him into a supportive environment where nutrition and motivation were prioritized. Manny followed this same style of program for six straight months and lost nearly 300 pounds. Dave emphasized that Manny’s story was not about becoming “skinny,” but about feeling better, looking better, performing better, and reclaiming health.
Toward the end of the call, Dave reminded everyone that Purium is not positioning itself simply as a weight loss company. It is a transformation company. For some people, transformation may include weight loss. For others, it may mean more energy, better habits, improved performance, reduced cravings, or feeling better than they have in years. The ULT Immersion Schedule gives people another way to experience that transformation using the products and philosophy Purium has been built on from the beginning.
